White-washed laneways draped in vibrant bougainvillea, golden beaches lapped by turquoise waters, and ancient cities bursting with charm. Greece is one of my favourite places in Europe, and this is where all my Greece travel blogs live.

Go ahead, Greek out (I had to, sorry!).

Greece Travel Guide: An Introduction

Greece is probably my favourite country to visit in Europe - and I plan on going back time and time again. This Greece travel guide is a bit of an intro of tips, facts, travel advice and of course, my adventures (most very budget-friendly!

Why I love it

Whatever break you want - chill, adventurous, cultural... Greece is the perfect all-rounder!

My fave place

It's a toughy, but so far I'd have to say Mykonos! It's so pretty - perfect for aimless wanders.

Flights to Greece

Travel to Greece from the UK is quick and easy - and usually flights are pretty cheap. It takes about 3.5 hours on average, and the most popular airline is easyJet, but you can also fly with Aegean Airlines, Ryanair, British Airways etc. My fave one-stop shop for all things flight related is Skyscanner.

It's worth noting there's a lot of different ways you can get around Greece once you get there too, like via ferries for the islands or you can travel around the mainland by train

Best time to visit Greece

Greece is a sun-baked little country that gets decent weather pretty much year-round, but the best time to visit is always the shoulder season (the case for most places in Europe, tbh). Shoulder season is late Spring/early Summer or Autumn as you're avoiding the tourist-laden summer months, and the weather is more pleasant for wanders and adventures. But if you're looking to just kick back and catch a tan, then go for the summer months.

Greece entry requirements/visas

If like me, your immediate thought with the whole Brexit deal went to your yearly Europe holidays, then you can relax. You don't need a visa if you're visiting the Schengen Zone for up to 90 days. People who are planning on staying in Greece longer than that (lucky for some) will probably need some form of visa - check out the Greek embassy for more info. Not from the UK? Head to the Schengen website to figure out what you need.
